Run by experienced fashion designer, textile artist and tutor Sue Browne,

FASHIONSKOOL is a unique sewing school based in north London which offers fashion-led, creative, inspirational and educational classes for all ages and skill levels in fashion, textiles, sewing and crafting from her light and airy home work-space near Alexandra Palace.  Group sizes are kept deliberately small to ensure that everyone receives plenty of attention and the atmosphere remains relaxed, fun and friendly.

Whether you are learning to sew for the first time, wishing to develop your technical skills, or looking for new creative challenges, FASHIONSKOOL's affordable workshops, term-time clubs for children and teens, along with dressmaking courses for adults, will provide confidence and life-long sewing skills.

FASHIONSKOOL provides it's own exclusive patterns in on-trend styles for holiday workshops whilst, during term time, the teen-style and adult dressmaking classes will teach you how to construct garments and accessories using your own choice of commercial pattern and fabric.

The after-school  Fashionskool Sewing Club for primary school-aged children offers a wide range of fun skill-building projects, all of which are are tailored to the group's skill level whilst the Pre-Teens Fashion & Textiles Club for older children is engineered towards those who have already developed some good basic sewing skills and develops textile techniques for use within sewing projects and clothing customisation.

Take a look at the 'GALLERY' to get an idea of the things our students love to make at FASHIONSKOOL!

For your reassurance, Sue is externally DBS-checked and first-aid trained.

1:1 private sewing lessons are available for complete beginners, those with a specific project to tackle,

anyone studying fashion/textiles at GCSE, A-level or similar level, who feels in need of some supplementary tuition. 1:1 lessons are also available for successful portfolio-building direction for art foundation or fashion degree courses.
