The Fashionskool Sewing Club
Our weekly after-school fashion and textile club meets on Fridays during term-time and is perfect for young aspiring fashionistas who are keen to learn real skills within a small group. There are lots of brilliantly inspirational projects to encourage creativity whilst building confidence. Already able to use a sewing machine, (if not, please enquire about workshops for complete beginners or private 1:1 sessions) and ideally having completed at least one of our holiday workshop projects, you'll develop your machine and hand-sewing techniques as well as have the opportunity to try hand-knitting, textile printing and dying, up-cycling and fashion illustration.
During each term there will be a variety of 1, 2 or 3-week projects including at least one clothing project (for which you'll need to provide your own fabric), along with lots of fun smaller sewing and textile projects. All materials will be provided for the smaller projects along with haberdashery and equipment for all classes.
Skill level: Beginners/beginners+, (primary) school years 4-6
