SHORT SUMMER PLAYSUIT
This is a great project for those already confident in using a sewing machine, having previously completed a couple of beginners+ level sewing projects and are looking to further develop their sewing skills.
This stunning style is exclusive to FASHIONSKOOL and there are two available options. Option 1: (shown opposite) has a peplum flounce, halter neck straps and elasticated bodice top and waist. Option 2: is a simpler version without the peplum frill and with shoulder ties (not shown).
In this workshop you will learn how to prepare your fabric before pinning and cutting out your garment using a paper pattern in your selected size, then machine-sew and finish seams neatly, whilst producing a fabulous wardrobe essential to proudly wear throughout the summer.
Bring 1.5 metres (option 2: 1.25m) of your own medium dress-weight, 100% cotton woven fabric, (1 or 2-way prints). Choose from the following sizes, and state your requirement when booking so that your pattern can be prepared for you:
Age 10, 11, 12, Teen size 6, 8 or 10.
All equipment, threads, elastics and light refreshments are included. Please feel free to bring your own sewing machine, if you are lucky enough to have one. (Please ensure that it is in good working order, and you are able to thread it yourself). Please bring a packed lunch (weather permitting we'll have a picnic in the garden) a face mask and slippers/indoor soft shoes.
