Pleat-front Shorts

This cute, fitted shorts style with front box-pleats and a side-seam zip works beautifully with all of the pretty tops in your wardrobe. Made in a medium-weight cotton woven print or plain fabric, it's smarter than a jeans-style short but not too posh for everyday. Make yours in a medium weight cotton for the summer and wear over tights or leggings on cooler days.

This workshop is ideal for those who have been sewing for a while, are confident in using a sewing machine and who have already made a couple of beginners+ clothing projects.

You will learn how to prepare your fabric, pin and cut out the shorts using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided in your chosen size. You'll be shown how to finish seams neatly, make box pleats, insert a zip, make waist facings, use interfacing and turn hems beautifully. You will pick up lots of great sewing tips whilst joining the pieces together using a sewing machine and finishing seams neatly with the opportunity of learning to use an over-locker.

Please choose from the following sizes and state your requirement when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you:
