Cut & Sew a Patchwork Cushion

Patchworking is a big fashion trend right now  and uses up fabrics which might otherwise have ended up in landfill. At FASHIONSKOOL we are extremely conscious to avoid waste and have accumulated a giant bag of useable and very beautiful fabric scraps over the years. The patchwork cushion project is an brilliant way to use up these scraps.

This workshop is ideally suited to those who have already used a sewing machine and are looking for a simple but rewarding textile project. Begin by selecting and coordinating your fabrics.  You'll then be shown how to cut out, piece together and stitch a gorgeous envelope-style cushion, with a basic patchwork squared front. Pick up lots of machine-sewing tips before you leave the workshop with new and improved sewing skills as well as a useful cushion to treasure and be proud of.

All equipment, materials, including a cushion pad, and light refreshments are provided. Bring your slippers to wear and a packed lunch, weather permitting we'll picnic in the garden.
