LEARN TO USE A SEWING MACHINE & MAKE A CUSHION,
Adult Beginners Sewing Class.
This is the perfect workshop for complete beginers or refreshers looking to gain confidence in using a sewing machine.
Learn to use the basic functions of a sewing machine, thread up, fill and change bobbins and problem solve when things go wrong. Practice sewing perfectly straight seams, beautiful curves and tidy corners. Then cut and sew a simple envelope-style cushion.
All equipment, patterns, basic haberdashery and refreshments are provided. Please bring 0.5 metre of curtain weight cotton or cotton/linen fabric and your sewing machine (and manual), if you have one. A cushion pad is provided and fabric can also be provided on request.
The aim of the session is to develop sewing skills and provide you with confidence to put your own projects into work at home. Small groups (max 4 ) allow plenty of personal attention.
