                      The Halter-Neck Top

This is a great project for those already confident in using a sewing machine, having previously completed a couple of beginners+ sewing projects and are looking to further develop their sewing skills.

The stunning halter-neck style is a perfect party top (and is also ideal for wearing over swimwear on holidays etc) is exclusive to FASHIONSKOOL. In this workshop you will learn how to prepare your fabric before pinning and cutting out your top using a paper pattern in your selected size.

Bring 1 metre of your own medium dress-weight (100% cotton woven) fabric . Learn how to turn and neaten a curved hem, make a delicate corsage to attach (or use as a hair accessory) and attach self-fabric bias binding (which you will make) using a sewing machine.

Choose from the following sizes, and state your requirement when booking so that your pattern can be prepared for you:

Age 10, Age 11,  Age 12,  Age 13,  Age 14 or Age 15.

All equipment, threads and refreshments are included. Please feel free to bring your own sewing machine, if you are lucky enough to have one. (Please ensure that it is in good working order, and you are able to thread it yourself). Bring a packed lunch; weather permitting we'll picnic in the garden.
