Cut & Sew Cute, Short, Frilled-hem Pyjamas

 

This fun Intermediate level workshop is for those who can already use a sewing machine, have previously made some beginners+ projects (or a similar clothing project) and would like to develop their machine-sewing skills further. You’ll be shown how to prepare your fabric, pin and cut out short length pyjama pants with a frilled hem detail using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided. You'll learn how to join the pieces together by sewing them on a sewing machine and gather a frill to trim the hem. You'll then creatively customise a vest top or t-shirt by applying your gathering technique to make a frilled trim using the fabric remnants.

 

For this workshop you will need to provide:

 

Fabric: 1 metre of 114cm+ wide fabric (2-way prints in medium-weight 100% woven cotton are ideal).

1 x cotton jersey vest or loose t-shirt in white or a colour to complement your fabric.

Ribbon: 1 metre of 1cm wide coordinating ribbon to use as a trim.

Choose from the following sizes and state your requirement when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you:

Sizes: Ages 11, 12, 13, 14 or 15.

All equipment, threads and elastic are provided. Please bring a face mask and slippers or soft shoes to wear, a drink, break-time snack and a packed lunch, weather permitting you'll have a picnic in the garden.
