Cut & sew cute, short, Frilled-hem Pyjamas
This fun Intermediate level workshop is for those who can already use a sewing machine, have previously made some beginners+ projects, in addition to the basic easy-level pyjamas, and would like to develop their machine-sewing skills further. You’ll be shown how to prepare your fabric, pin and cut out short length pyjama pants with a frilled hem detail using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided. You'll learn how to join the pieces together by sewing them on a sewing machine and gather fabric to make a frill to trim the hem. If your sewing skills are not quite at intermediate level, but you'd still like to make these adorable short pyjamas, there'll be ready-made trims available to stitch on to the hems.
After lunch you'll then creatively customise a vest top or t-shirt by applying your gathering technique to make a frilled trim or simple applique design using the fabric remnants (optional). This workshop will run on the same day as the 'Easy level' pyjamas project to accommodate a variety of skill levels.
For this workshop you will need to provide:
Fabric: 1 metre of 114cm+ wide fabric (medium-weight 100% woven and printed cotton is ideal).
1 x cotton jersey vest or loose t-shirt in white or a colour to complement your fabric (doesn't have to be new!)
