EMPIRE-LINE DRESS

This is a great workshop for those already able to use a sewing machine who would like to further develop their sewing skills and make this simple but stunning easy-to-wear style.

You'll learn how to prepare your fabric before pinning and cutting out your dress using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern in your chosen size, then join the pieces together using a sewing machine, finish seams neatly (with the opportunity of learning to use an overlocker), make casings for the elasticated neckline and sleeve hems and trim with a satin ribbon which ties loosely at the back.

You will need to bring your own (100% cotton) fabric and 1.75m (x 12mm approx) coordinating satin ribbon. All equipment, threads, elastic and refreshments are provided.

Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you are lucky enough to have one (please ensure it is in good working order and you are able to thread it up yourself). Choose from the following sizes and state your requirement when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you: Age 10-11, 12-13 or 14-15.
