TIE or DIP-DYE & CUSTOMISE a T-SHIRT or VEST
& Decorate 'Catwalk' Biscuits
A highly creative and fun workshop and, with no previous sewing skills required, it's the perfect introduction to the world of fashion, textiles and colour mixing!
Bring along a freshly washed plain white t-shirt or vest top (it doesn't have to be new, but preferably without any stains) made from 100% cotton (man-made fibres won't absorb the dye; please check the garment care label if you are unsure) in your own size or larger. You'll collectively choose your dye colour/s and learn the techniques of tie and dip-dyeing your own garment, which you will be creatively customising later in the day by hand and machine-sewing (don't worry - plenty of help is at hand).
To pass the time during the dying/drying process, you'll have lots of fun icing and decorating delicious homemade miniature garment shaped biscuits to take home with you - lots of colour-mixing and dexterous skills waiting to be developed today!
All equipment, materials and light refreshments are provided, but please bring slippers/soft indoor shoes and a packed lunch; weather permitting we'll have a picnic in the garden! Please wear your old clothes for this workshop.
