The Chanel-style suit: A-line Mini-skirt
This intermediate level fashion workshop is suited to those with previous machine-sewing experience, having already completed some garment-sewing workshops, who would like to develop their sewing skills further and make an A-line mini-skirt with a concealed zip fastening.
You'll be shown how to prepare, pin and cut your fabric using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL pattern in your own size. You'll then join the pieces together using a sewing machine, make back darts, facings and insert an invisible zip, finish seams professionally and pick up lots of useful tips along the way.
You will need to provide your own fabric and trims for this project (material length requirements will be given when booking is confirmed); recommended fabrics are medium weight woven cottons with some texture: cotton jacquards, boucles, waffles, brocades etc. with or without stretch.
Please choose from the following sizes when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you:
Teens sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
Equipment, basic haberdashery and light refreshments are provided, however please bring a water bottle and a packed lunch (weather permitting we'll picnic in the garden). Please also bring a face mask and slippers/ soft indoor shoes to wear.
