LEARN TO USE A SEWING MACHINE AND      CUT & SEW A SIMPLY DECADENT CUSHION

This machine-sewing based workshop is ideal for complete beginners looking for a rewarding beginner's textile project.

Learn the basics on a sewing machine: how to thread a bobbin, thread up the top threads, problem-solve when things go wrong and use the basic functions and stitches of a machine. Get yourself sewing-confident with some simple sewing exercises.  Then put your new skills to the test and make this simple cushion cover. You will have a choice of fabrics / colours and the option of using a selection of sumptuous trims to adorn the front of your envelope-style cushion before sewing all the pieces together. As well as developing good sewing techniques, you will leave the workshop with a cushion to be really proud of.

All materials, including a cushion pad, equipment and light refreshments are provided, however please feel free to bring your own machine if you are lucky enough to have one (please make sure it's in good working order).
