The Puffball and Skater Skirts

This half-term holiday we have a choice of two gorgeous skirt projects as FASHIONSKOOL's 'Puffball' skirt makes it's debut, along with our all-time-favourite the 'Skater' skirt. Both projects include different sewing skills. The skater skirt always has great appeal as it's a pleasure to make, fun to wear and is a timeless style which looks different in every print or fabric used so has seemingly endless possibilities. The on-trend puffball skirt includes a higher skill - gathering - as the outer skirt is gathered into a lining in a concealed way to create volume and a beautiful silhouette.

Both projects are Beginners+ level, suitable for those who already know how to use a sewing machine and have completed a previous clothing workshop, i.e. easy level pyjamas, however if you're still relatively new to sewing, the skater style is an ideal follow-on project to easy-level pyjamas and the puffball style is a great follow-on to the skater skirt project.

You’ll learn how to prepare, pin and cut your fabric (using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern in your chosen size) and how to sew neat seams and attach a separate elasticated waist casing. The skater skirt skills include turning a neat hem and the Puffball skirt skills include gathering.

Choose from the following sizes and state your size and style choice when booking so that your pattern can be prepared for you:
