BOXER-STYLE SHORTS
These really cute, easy-fit, boxer-style shorts with useful side-seam pockets and an elasticated waist casing will work beautifully with all of the pretty tops in your wardrobe. Made in a medium-weight cotton woven print, chambray, denim or linen fabric, they are suitable for everyday and just perfect for holidays.
This workshop is ideal for those who can already use a sewing machine, have made one of our beginner's projects and are ready to move up to a 'Beginners+' sewing challenge. You will learn how to prepare your fabric, pin and cut out the shorts using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided in your chosen size. You'll be shown how to finish seams neatly, make side-seam pockets, insert elastic through separate waist casings, and turn hems beautifully all whilst picking up lots of great sewing tips as you join the pieces together using a sewing machine.
Please choose from the following sizes and state your requirement when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you:
SIZES: by age: 10-11, 11 - 12 and Teen sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: 1 metre fabric x 112cm width (or wider)
Equipment, threads and light refreshments are all provided. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine (please ensure it's in good working order and you are able to thread it yourself) or use one of our lovely pink ones. Please bring a packed lunch (weather permitting we'll picnic in the garden) and your slippers/indoor soft shoes or grippy socks.
