The bomber jacket is the star of every fashionista's wardrobe and FASHIONSKOOL'S beautiful version is a perfect sewing project for those who are ready to step up to a higher skills challenge. This is an Intermediate+ level workshop suitable for those who have already attended several clothes-making workshops including at least one at intermediate level.

Working in 100% cotton fabric, ideally with a little stretch in it and even more fabulous in a print (jacket shown is in stretch cotton-sateen), you’ll be shown how to prepare, pin and cut out your fabric before piecing together your gorgeous bomber jacket using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided in your chosen size. You’ll learn how to join the pieces together by sewing them on a sewing machine, neaten the seams using an over locker, attach interfacing, make an elasticated waist casing, insert an open-ended zipper and zip guard and attach ribbing for hem, cuffs and collar.

Choose from the following sizes: SMALL (approx age 11 yrs), MEDIUM (teen's size 4-6), LARGE (teen's size 8-10) or X-LARGE (teen's size 12-14) stating your size when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you.

You will need to provide your own fabric, ribbing and zip , please request the fabric/trim requirements for your chosen size when booking.

Equipment, threads and light refreshments are included but please bring a packed lunch. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you are lucky enough to have one, please ensure it is in good working order and you are able to thread it yourself.
