The wide leg version

SWEAT  PANTS

Sweat pants, as well as being essential for sport, have become our go-to loungewear over the past couple of years and what could be better than learning to make your own. FASHIONSKOOL now has two versions; a tapered leg, with elasticated hems (shown above left), or a wide-leg style with a stitched front-crease detail (above right). Both styles have concealed side pockets, a yoke back detail, a mock-fly front and an elasticated waist. Cut and sew yours in ultra-cosy brushed-back knitted sweat-shirting fabric in a choice of colours.

This project is suited to those who are already confident and regular users of a sewing machine, ideally having made several of our clothing projects previously and are looking to further develop their sewing skills.

You will learn how to prepare, pin and cut knitted fabric, using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern in your chosen size, how to finish seams neatly on the inside (with an over locker) and on the outside you will learn to give your clothes a professional finish with top-stitch detailing.

Choose from the following colours: WHITE, CREAM, BABY BLUE or BLACK. If you would prefer an alternative colour please request our fabric supplier details so that you can place your own fabric order.

Choose from the following sizes: XXS/age 10-11, XS/teen's size 4-6,  S/teen's size 8-10,  M/women's size 12 and  L/women's 14. Please state your requirement when booking so that your pattern can be prepared for you.

All equipment, threads and elastic are provided. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you are lucky enough to have one; please ensure it's in good working order and you are able to thread it yourself. Please bring a face mask (if you would like to wear one), slippers/ indoor soft shoes to wear and a packed lunch, snacks and drinks .
