CUT & SEW ADULT-SIZE PYJAMA PANTS
Pyjamas are a joy to make; once you've made your first pair you'll want to make them for everyone in your family! This workshop is perfect for those already able to use a sewing machine who would like to start making clothes and this particular workshop is ideal for making as a present for an adult-sized person in the family - just in time for Christmas!
You'll learn how to prepare your fabric, pin and cut out simple full-length pyjama pants using an exclusive FASHIONSKOOL paper pattern provided in your chosen size. You'll then join the pieces together, finish seams neatly and make an elasticated waist casing. For those who already have some sewing skills there are options to add contrast fabric waistband facings for the men's style, or contrast hems for the women's style and decorative trims, however if this is the first time you've made pyjamas there's also an easier version without any contrast details (please specify when booking).
For this workshop you will need to provide:
For all womens or mens sizes: Fabric width 112cm x 2.25m.
To make the contrast waistband facing or hem option, please provide an additional 25cm (x 112cm fabric width).
Bring a t-shirt / vest top to embellish with a simple coordinated applique. Choose from the following sizes and state your requirement when booking so that a pattern can be prepared for you:
UK WOMENS SIZES: S (8 - 10) M (12) and L (14 - 16).
MENS SIZES: S/ M (32"-34" waist) M/L (36" -38"waist)
Equipment, elastic, threads and light refreshments are all provided. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine if you're lucky enough to have one (please ensure it's in good working order and you are able to thread it yourself).
