How To Copy Your Favourite Garment
A Pattern-cutting workshop for Adults
Ever wished you could duplicate a favourite garment but don't know where to start? This 1-day pattern cutting course is suited to adults with intermediate dressmaking knowledge and covers all of the skills you'll need to make a paper pattern copy of an original garment. In addition you'll learn how to make simple alterations and adaptations to your pattern, customising it to suit you.
Within a small group your day will start with coffee/tea and biscuits while you observe a short demonstration before you begin to work independently on your own project under watchful guidance.
All equipment and pattern paper are provided for your use, however please bring a notebook and camera/phone to jot down notes, make diagrams, capture step-by-step images and write garment-making instructions for your own future reference.
Please bring a packed lunch, weather permitting we'll picnic in the garden.
